Open with New Hours!

We're open with NEW temporary HOURS!

We will continue to wear masks and clean and sanitize our shop for your safety. We are still closely monitoring the situation in our area and reserve the right to adjust our hours of operation or return to appointment only service if we deem it necessary to protect our employees, our guests, and our quilting community. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to re-open our business and protect everyone in the process.

Please continue to respect the health of our employees and other guests and do not visit if you are ill or have been in contact with anyone who is ill. We will only be monitoring the phone during our new temporary hours Wed.-Sat.

NEW TEMPORARY HOURS:
Wednesdays -Saturdays
11am-3pm
Limit 3 customers in the shop

If 3 people are already shopping when you arrive, we may ask you to wait outside for a brief moment until someone is finished.

APPOINTMENTS ONLY:
Every Tuesday
 11am-3pm
One person at a time 30-minute appointment

Call 706-569-7744 in advance Wed.-Sat. to book a Tuesday appointment for the upcoming week.

MASKS & HANDWASHING:
Masks are required. Wash your hands or use sanitizer immediately upon entering the shop. Keep your mask on and do not touch your mask or your face.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:
We’ve rearranged our merchandise to better utilize our classroom space and spread things out so it’s easier for our guests to social distance. We’ve also placed red lines on the floor at the cutting table and checkout counter to promote social distancing. Please stand behind the red lines in our service areas and maintain a 6-foot distance from employees and other guests.

CURBSIDE PICKUP/ONLINE ORDERING: Free curbside pick up will be available Wed.-Sat. from 11am-3pm or with an appointment on Tuesdays between 11am-3pm. Call to place your order, or order online and choose curbside or shipping.

RESTROOM: Closed to the public.

EVENTS: Classes and events are postponed.
MACHINE QUILTING: We have new procedures for dropping off quilts. Both your quilt top and backing must be ironed and folded lengthwise, placed on a hanger (backing first - quilt top 2nd, with the right side facing out). This will allow us to see the top to choose thread colors and quilting designs with a minimum of handling. The quilt will then go into “Quilt Quarantine” for approximately 2 weeks before we handle it for quilting. Please be patient as this will add two weeks to our estimated quilting time.
MACHINE REPAIR:For machine repair or service, please contact Layfayette Crouch directly at 706-366-5579. We are not handling machine drop off/pick up for him through the shop during this time.

What We're Doing During the Outbreak

Earlier this month we made the difficult decision to close the shop through April 6th due to Covid-19. The date may change depending on the situation at that time.

As we work from home, we've been reading our emails and social media messages and the amount of support you have all shown the shop is amazing!

While we're closed, Tabby is diligently working on finishing our machine quilting orders and we're putting together new and exciting projects for the shop - but we haven't stopped there!
We've made great use of this time by putting ALL of our Notions, Patterns, Templates, Stencils and Books on our website.

And now we're beginning to add select bolts of FABRIC at the special price of $9.99 yd!

We offer easy online shipping and Curbside Pick up on Friday and Saturday from 2PM-5PM. We will ONLY be in the shop these hours if we have a pickup order. The shop will NOT be open to walk-ins during those hours, we are handling all orders through phone/email/website.

We can make special arrangements for you if you need something not listed on the website or need to pick up at a different time, so call the shop 706-569-7744.
All calls are being forwarded to Thomas for the time being and Brandi is monitoring our emails and social media messages.

Some of you have asked about dropping off new quilts. Because we are working to finish our current machine quilting orders we are not accepting new orders until we re-open.
We have fielded several questions about making masks, and we know that Columbus Hospice has asked for masks locally and have put a box by their door at 7020 Moon Rd for you to drop off supplies to make masks or completed masks. Here is the mask-making video they shared on their Facebook page.

Because we already miss seeing you guys and we hate that we will miss Saturday Sampler show and tell, we are planning a virtual Show and Tell April 4th at 1pm on Facebook and Instagram.

We just need your help to put it together! Email photos of your Show and Tell items to contactu
s@sundaybestquiltworks.com or message them to us on Facebook or Instagram. Be sure to include your name and details like the pattern name for your project. Send as many photos as you want and send them in by April 3rd.

Lastly, don't forget about our eGift Cards. They are always available
online and we would be thrilled if you wanted to show your support for your local quilt shop :) by buying a gift card now to redeem in-store when this crisis has passed. Just order online, keep the code Square emails you, then show us the code when you're ready to redeem.
Because this is an ever changing situation, we will update you as soon as we are able to re-open. In the meantime, please take every precaution to stay safe, wash your hands, and quilt on!

Shop Hop is almost here!

If you haven’t participated in Shop Hop before, you’ve missed out on a lot of fun. Each shop is unique, offering something that you won’t find in the others. Widen your horizons this year. As quilters, we love visiting different shops!

This year we will have 7 shops participating: Sunday Best Quiltworks in Ellerslie, Sew Much Fun in Columbus, A Scarlet Thread in McDonough, Hometown Quilts in Hogansville, Birdhouse Quilts in Byron, Couture Sewing Center in Macon, and Magical Stitches in Macon.

Our dates this year are Friday Feb. 14th thru Monday Feb. 17th. As usual, the shops will be open from 9:30am-6pm on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. On Sunday the shops will be open 1:00pm-4:00 pm.

Let me explain how it works: After a color palate is chosen, each shop is assigned two blocks with specific colors. We exchange our colors with each other, so that each shop will have the same focus colors in their blocks. Then each shop designs a quilt using these same colors. However, the design, background, sashing and borders for each quilt will be very different.

Each shop will have kits prepared for their 2 blocks. They include only the pattern and the focus colors. The customer can choose any background she or he prefers. Each shop will also offer kits for their version of the SHOP HOP QUILT.

All of the shops  are busy trying to get their quilts made but we will all have our quilts ready before Valentine’s Day. We will post a picture of our quilt as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you!
Linda
